The Organizing Secretariat OIC has reserved a number of rooms at preferential rates in Grand Hotel Baglioni (Congress Venue).
Given the high period season and the conjunction with many other events that will take place in Florence in this period, it is strongly recommended to proceed as soon as possible with the hotel reservation, in order to get the best conditions.
Hotel accommodation is subject to availability and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

5. Travel Information 

BY PLANE
The easiest way to get to Florence is to fly to Florence Airport (9 km away).
Other nearby airports are: Pisa International Airport (80 km away) and Bologna International airport (100 km away).


Travelers arriving in Florence

From the International Florence Airport “Amerigo Vespucci” (IATA code – FLR) is easy to get to the city center: by taxi or by the ‘Vola in bus’ public shuttle service.
The shuttle bus connects the airport to the main railway station, Santa Maria Novella Station, in just 15-20 minutes.
The Grand Hotel baglioni is only 2 minutes on foot from the station.

Travelers arriving in Pisa

The International Airport of Pisa “Galileo Galilei” (IATA code- PSA) is located 80 km from the city center of Florence and is connected to the Tuscan capital by train (every hour) and by bus (full flight coverage with 18 journeys per day).

    which is about 10 minutes on foot from the Grand Hotel Baglioni.

Travelers arriving in Bologna

The International Airport of Bologna “Guglielmo Marconi” (IATA code – BLQ) is located 100 km away from Florence. You can catch the “Appenino Shuttle” directly from the airport to the Florence city center. Otherwise you can reach the main railway station in Bologna by AEROBUS in 20 minutes and then take a fast train to Florence (trip of 25 minutes).

BY TRAIN
Florence’s main railway station, Santa Maria Novella, is located only two minutes on foot from the Gran Hotel Baglioni . The other two railway stations, Rifredi and Campo di Marte, are at ten-minutes driving distance from the Santa Maria Novella Station, or connected to it through local trains and city buses. The high-speed trains connect Florence with Rome in 1 hour and 30 minutes, Milan in 1 hour and 40 minutes, Venice in 2 hours, Turin in 3 hour and 30 minutes.

BY CAR
Florence is well connected with the main Italian cities, thanks to the Italian motorway network, thus making it easy to get to the city centre, where the congress venue is located.

PARKING GARAGES/CAR PARKS
Grand Hotel Baglioni’s guests can park their car in a garage near the hotel, which also offers a valet service. Price starting from €36 daily (24 hours).
Alternatively, close to the Hotel is situated Florence Santa Maria Novella Station Parking, one of the largest in town, which offers about 900 parking spaces available and is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
